HUB COMICS is gearing up to celebrate the Winter Solstice with their sixth annual Dark Knight on a Dark Night art show! Bust out your finest Batman duds and head to Hub Comics in Somerville for the 6th Annual Dark Knight on a Dark Night!! Celebrate 75 years of BATMAN on one of the longest, darkest nights of the year, Saturday December 20th,6-8 Enjoy artwork, refreshments, comic books and a COSTUME CONTEST!!

The Black Market

I will be at the Black Market in Cambridge, MA on 12/13/14 with a boatload of awesome folks! I'll be selling prints, T-shirts, jewelry and some NEW KRAMPUS COLLECTIBLES!

Picture Stories

Moonlight flooded the passageway and staircase.

Over the threshold it was a different picture: an arrangement of chairs collected around the table with a meal; seemingly in progress, but abandoned or interrupted.

Bottles and plates of food were interspersed with pages from a newspaper, cigarettes and the ash-tray. This last item was heaped with spent matches and stubs.

Raised voices could be heard from the adjoining room.(J. Gibbs)

Picture Stories is collaboration between illustration and painting students of Edinburgh College of Art, UK and students at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, USA.

The brief centres on students responding to short written narratives. Students from ECA would send their ‘stories’ to smfa and vice versa.

BROADSIDE
An exhibition based on modern reinterpretations of the one-sheet broadside. This body of work finds its place between the ephemeral, commercialized object and something more lasting, tactile, and intimate or conceptual. The artists investigate a range of interests including those of aesthetics, politics, humor, poetics, and social issues. By conflating message and medium, Broadside explores how outmoded means of communication continue to hold sway in the contemporary imagination.

1/2 shot grenadine syrup
7-Up soda

Bloody Maria 8"x10" 2014

• 2 ounces tequila
• 1 teaspoon horseradish
• 3 dashes Tabasco sauce
• 3 dashes Worcestershire sauce
• Dash of lime juice
• 3 dashes celery salt
• 3 dashes pepper
• Tomato juice
• 1 teaspoon dijon mustard (optional)
• Celery stalk for garnish
• Lemon and/or lime wedge for garnish
• Cucumber and/or cocktail shrimp for garnish (optional)

I've been working on a new series called "Raise the Spirits."  These paintings are based on cocktails and apparitions.
